Our Story

Capital Trophy is a true Salem story, rooted in our local community since 1993. It all began when Jodell and Ezam Bayan stumbled upon a newspaper article about a trophy company. Curiosity piqued, they decided to take a leap of faith, diving headfirst into an industry they knew little about. While Ezam juggled a full-time job, Jodell took charge and laid the foundation for what would become a cherished local establishment.

Jodell's knack for design, dedication to quality craftsmanship, and unwavering commitment to customers quickly earned her a loyal following. Many of our valued customers today are the same folks who walked through our doors back then.

In 2009, Kari, a Salem native, joined Jodell's team. Fresh out of high school with a GED, she was eager to soak up knowledge and introduce fresh, innovative ideas to the mix. Their collaboration was a fusion of old and new, they didn't always mesh, but they made it work. Eventually finding that perfect balance.

As the years passed, Kari assumed more responsibility, steering the ship with a commitment to maintaining Jodell's legacy and core values. In 2018, Jodell retired, passing the torch to Kari, ensuring that Capital Trophy would continue to serve the local community with the same dedication and care it always has.

I'm not a born salesman and in fact, "sales" is something I've really struggled with learning/comprehending throughout my journey of becoming a business owner.
